I tried that but will try again.
Thanks!

Subject: Re: [BlindMath] NVDA and exponents question
If you have a Word document, you should not have to use InftyReader at all...unless the math expressions are all images. Instead, you would use MathType and use the "Convert Equations" command to turn all the OMML (Word's native math editor) expressions into MathType expressions. After that, NVDA should read them properly. The only two exceptions would be if (1) the expressions are just images pasted into the Word doc, or (2) the exponents were created using Word's superscript font, rather than inserting a true equation. In either of those two exceptions, you will have to retype the expressions by hand with MathType (use TeX if that's simpler) or some other means. You could also try saving as a high quality PDF (600 dpi) and then running through InftyReader, but that would probably be a last resort method.
Hope that helps,

Subject: [BlindMath] NVDA and exponents question
I am using both an html editor and a demo version of infty reader to convert a word document with math equations, which is a final exam.
It seems that I am having trouble getting the exponents to read properly. Y cubed is reading y 3 instead. I have Math player installed and am using Firefox. I'd welcome any ideas on how to fix this.
Thanks!
