I would research the Kurzweil carefully. My son used it all through primary
school and could indeed add sticky notes - but they did not save - so the
next time you went to the document the notes were gone. These notes helped
when answering a worksheet that was completed in class so that he could add
a text block or note to every question and answer it. However, he had to
print it in class before leaving or lose all his answers. This was in
Kurzweil 3000 not Kurzweil 1000. I would ask Kurzweil's tech support if the
notes you would be annotating on your books will save or not in Kurzweil
1000 before you decide. Kurzweil could well have fixed this feature.

Hello,

I have been searching for a while now, but am not finding the answers to my
question. One thing I have noticed is that the notes that I take are best
when connected in the book I am reading (for example, writing comments in
Microsoft Word at the specific parts of the book where the note goes). The
commenting in Word has been harder to use with NVDA and all my books are
readable only with NVDA. I am trying to find another way to take notes in my
book (like taking notes in the margin off a hardcover book). So far, I have
come across Kurzweil 1000 and Open Book. I am not sure if they do what I
intend to do just from reading about them. Also, do they work well with math
in books that are in Word? Would I be able to take notes in my book?

Thank you,
Nicholas

Hello,

Frankly, The fastest way to take mathematical notes is in Braille using
Nemeth code. I do not know how you could put this into your book.

Hello,

Thank you for the quick reply. Another thing I am struggling with in
Microsoft Word is editing a comment. I can create a comment easily, but the
only way to go back into and edit a comment I am finding is through point
and click. I have been unable to find a shortcut key for it. Is there one
out there I am not finding?

Thank you,
Nicholas
