[BlindMath] Accessible LaTeX Editor with Biber

Hi,

I don't use Emacspeak. Rather, I just use a version of Emacs (see the link in my previous email), with JAWS as my screenreader. I understand NVDA also works well with the Windows port of Emacs.

Emacspeak should also work as a solution, although I can't advise on speech synthesisers as I've no experience.

Bests
Robin

Hi Robin and all,

Just before receive your e-mail, I downloaded Emacs and Emacspeak.

I setup Espeak to produce speak..

I do not like this voice, do you use it or do you use an other synthetics voice engine?

Thanks for your help.

++ Mathieu

Hi,

> Appologies for my slow reply. I use a port of Emacs that comes bundled with ESS (Emacs Speaks Statistics) and AucTeX. These two packages allow for programming in the R language and the writing of LaTeX documents, respectively. General information and links to download the modified Emacs distribution can be found at:

I gave up on Winedt some time ago as it's accessibility was deteriorating, and it sounds as though that hasn't changed.

You didn't mention having access to a Mac, so I suppose TeXShop for Mac OS wouldn't help you - again, it has been recommended as an accessible editor, and it worked with the VoiceOver screen reader when I last tested it on my Mac.
