[BlindMath] Reading Nemeth on a macOS?

Thank you Jason.

Your experience is exactly what I have encountered as well. I thought that it might have been the display I was using (Baum Vario 340), but I am now wondering about overall macOS support for Nemeth translation.

I will reach out to someone at Apple about this and get back if I hear anything.

Best,

When I test one of your examples in Safari with VoiceOver, the braille display shows a mixture of words and symbols that correspond to the spoken representation of the expression. It does not show Nemeth code.

When I last tested it, however, Safari under iOS produced correct Nemeth code from MathML examples. For some reason, Apple’s Mac OS version of VoiceOver isn’t applying Nemeth code translation to content written in MathML.

I forgot to attach the documents that I have been using to test. They are the following:

1) HTML + MathML
2) HTML + MathML + MathJax

I have tried both of these documents in the latest version of Safari (11.1).

Thank you,

Joseph
