So I thought that 50 g of water is 1.8 ounces or 50 mL. However, when I ask Alexa, she says that 1.8 ounces is 53.2 mL, but when I specifically asked how many milliliters are in 1.8 ounces of water, I get 51 mL.This may not seem like a big difference, but let's try something bigger. When I ask her how many milliliters are in 10 ounces, she says 296 mL, but when I ask how many milliliters are in 10 ounces of water, she says 283 mL. I thought it is supposed to be 283 mL. Let's get bigger. When I ask for the milliliters for 50 ounces she says 1479. When I ask for the milliliters of 50 ounces of water, she says 1417. We are now 2.2 ounces off. She says that there are 5915 mL in 200 ounces and 5670 mL in 200 ounces of water. Now, we are 8.6 ounces off. So at this point, we are over 1 cup off for every gallon and a half we measure. And the discrepancy just gets bigger as we go up. Also, when I ask her how many ounces are in 1 gallon of water, and she says 134 when I could've sworn it was 128 ounces. So am I right or is she right? What gives? Also, when I try to convert between grams and gallons of water, the same thing happens. And yes, I know that weight and volume are different, and I am specifically only talking about water here.
