The convention to be followed depends on the style guidelines. For APA (which you inquired about specifically), there is a summary of how to cite online sources at
https://owl.purdue.edu/owl/research_and_citation/apa_style/apa_formatting_and_style_guide/reference_list_electronic_sources.html

Subject: [BlindMath] Citing Content from the blindmath-gems Webpage

Hello:

I'm writing an article for a personal blog. I'd like to cite content from blindmath-gems webpage. Is there an existing format for intext and/or reference citations? If not, could I use the following recommendation for citing emails from APA https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.apastyle.org%2Flearn%2Ffaqs%2Fcite-individual-email&data=02%7C01%7Cjjwhite%40ets.org%7C2b00f83b93594dc8d9d608d686153110%7C0ba6e9b760b34fae92f37e6ddd9e9b65%7C0%7C0%7C636843822905875081&sdata=8PM47hVK%2F5fm6qakaEj%2BJq5CFVdg7bytXEjzR2yzJ2g%3D&reserved=0?

This would be an example intext citation I would use . (J. M. Smith, personal communication, January 1, 1996).

Thank you,

Zac
