[BlindMath] Helpful suggestions

A text editor that can automatically insert LaTeX macros and environments based on keyboard shortcuts is useful not only for efficiency of typing, but also to help to avoid syntax errors.

I have used AUCTeX Mode in Emacs for this purpose. There are probably others, but I haven't investigated the options in detail.

However, the larger point is true: any reasonable text editor will allow you to write LaTeX documents.

Any text editor should be fine, but you’ll need a TeX compiler on your machine to generate visual output for a sighted person.
