[BlindMath] Accessible Z score tables

Hello Aleeha,

Between your professor and the disability support team, someone must be able to use a spreadsheet to make the table you need. It should be formatted and styled to the exact same standard as being given to the rest of the class. Personally, I'd insist that the professor do it, just to teach them a lesson.

Then, get that converted into the alternate format you want.

Of course, they could just make a reasonable accommodation and let you use a 21st century solution like a talking calculator or your choice of software on your laptop, but alas, I suspect it will be years until we eradicate the use of dead tree based statistical tables from many professors' mind sets.

Subject: [BlindMath] Accessible Z score tables

Hi everyone,
It’s been a while, but I’m taking an intro statistics class this semester and am struggling with finding areas under the normal curve using a Z-score table. Frankly, the textbook version of the table, which my professor copied and sent out as a PDF, is not accessible at all in its original or copied form. However, I need to be able to access one of these tables for an exam which is rapidly approaching, and my disability services office doesn’t have any more ideas of how to make it accessible. Does anyone have an accessible version they can point me to or know of a way to make a Z-score table accessible?
Thanks,
Aleeha Dudley
