Hi Lucas,

I am a software developer at MathWorks, which produces MATLAB, and also a member of the Accessibility Program team working towards making MATLAB more accessible.

I am not sure about the interest for creating a separate group focused on MATLAB, but I would be interested in learning about the difficulties that you are running into and providing you more resources which you may not be aware of. For example, MATLAB Online, which is the web version of MATLAB, is a lot more accessible for keyboard and screen reader users. You can find some info about it at these links:

  *   https://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/matlab_env/accessibility-in-matlab.html.
  *   https://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/matlab_env/accessibility-use-a-screen-reader-to-access-matlab.html

Feel free to contact me directly at my email address if I can help.

Thanks,
Bora Eryilmaz

Hello All.

What do people think about a group focused on MatLab and other stats softwares for blind people?
I am struggling quite a lot with MatLab, but I also use it for the last 6 years, so I think it would be interesting to have a space to exchange information about softwares like matlab, r, etc?

I am just thinking about a separate list because maybe not everybody here is interested on hearing about these questions.

Thank you very much.

Kind Regards.

Lucas Nadolskis.
