APH is Recruiting Field Testers for Geometric Drawing Stencils

[A photo of the stencils for circle and three tactile circles created
with the stencils]

Geometric Drawing Stencils is an accessible set of manipulatives and
3D files that blind students can use to draw tactile geometric shapes
and algebraic and trigonometric functions. The kit includes geometric
stencils for drawing circles, ellipses, parallelograms, trapezoids,
triangles, and more; drawing strips with inch and centimeter marks to
draw line segments and polygons with exact length measures; and 3D
files, including 14 stencils with tactile markings for drawing graphs
of quadratic, radical, exponential, logarithmic, trigonometric
functions, and others.

APH is seeking teachers to test this product with their students who
are blind. Testing will begin in fall 2023. If you are working with
students who primarily create and use tactile graphics instead of
print graphics and would like to participate in this field test,
please fill out this APH Field Testing Application Form:
www.surveymonkey.com/r/DDRXRL2

You will not need to use a 3D printer during this test. Students will
need to use their own rubber mats or rubber-covered drawing boards,
such as APH's DRAFTSMAN Drawing Board or TactileDoodle, to accomplish
test activities. Should you have any questions, contact Lara Kirwan at
lkirwan at aph.org<mailto:lkirwan at aph.org>.

Thank you for your time and consideration!
