Ray,

There is no analytic solution to the integral of the formula describing the normal distribution curve. That's why the tables exist.

You could use software in a tutoring situation. The student will of course need to be confident using the tools they are allowed within their course. Even Excel will do.

HTH,
Jonathan

Subject: [BlindMath] Z-score & Percentile Charts.

Hi, how are you/ Does anyone out there know where I can find an accessible chart online for statistics with Z-score and percentile and vice versa. The ones I've found don't seem to open up to be readable. I probably need one chart for each direction. I'm tutoring someone in math, and she's doing some statistics, and I wish to find a chart I could check along with her to make sure she's doing the work right. Or, is there just a formula I could use, that's accessible, to calculate it by hand? If someone has a chart for these, feel free to just email it to me.

Thanks,

Ray McAllister.
