[BlindMath] Question about math and braille embosser

Hello,

My university is quite new to the world of alternate formatting and just
got a braille embosser. They got the Index Braille Everest D V5. I was just
wondering how they would go about getting math materials to print in
braille? Some profs use tex or latex, others don't. So I am going to assume
they will have to write the file themselves if it is not already in an
accessible format. Any tips for either scenario? Also, is there anything my
university should know that perhaps I would not, since I am a student who
has no experience with academics and alt format? I've only ever used word
processors and braille, so not sure what all goes into transcription.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
Kaitlynn
