Hello,
We are researchers at the University of California, Irvine recruiting
participants for a research study about the experiences of blind or low
vision students as they transition from high school to college to study
computing. Our goal is to understand the accessibility challenges and
availability of resources when going to college to study computing as a
blind student. You are eligible to participate in this study if you meet
the following criteria:

Identifies as blind, low vision, or visually impaired

Is 18 years of age or older

Currently is an undergraduate student who attends 1- to 4-year college
or university

Currently pursuing a major or minor in computing, or previously majored
or minored in computing but switched to another major or minor. Computing
includes fields of study such as Computer Science, Information Science,
Information Technology (IT), Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or
other related fields.
The study involves an audio-recorded interview over the phone or Zoom or a
similar teleconferencing system. The interview will last approximately 1
hour.
You will be paid $40 for your participation following the hour-long
interview via an Amazon gift card or similar method.
