[BlindMath] When to use the left and right commands for brackets

Hi,

I use latex for writing my notes, tests and exams as a Computer Science
student in a university.

I have seen people using \left( and \right) instead of using plane
brackets. I learnt the command can adjust the size of the brackets to
fit it's content.

My question is, when should I use the left and right commands? Should I
just stop using the normal pair of brackets? Or should I use the
commands when I have large fractions? If yes, then how large is large?

I don't always get the luxury of a sighted person prove reading my work,
and I wouldn't want misinterpretation of my work.

With kind regards,

Abdulqadir Ahmad
