Hi Chris. For reading, I convert my PDF into html using mathpics. Then I do not need to use additional software if I just need to read through a screenreader. If I have to read from a braille display, there is a setting in mac which we can enable whose effect is that the output is Nemeth braille.
For writing, I have to use a blend of different options. Using braille display I give input in UEB. The only problem with UEB is that we cannot type spacial symbols like fractions, superscripts etc. For this, I have to switch to latex in equation editter mode in pages which is equivalent of word in Mac. Unfortunately, there is no means to write using nemeth I.e we cannot input in Nemeth. You may explore Equalize editter for typing on which Mr. Sam Duly should be able to help you. He is a part of this list.
