<div class="moz-cite-prefix">I'd say it also depends on where you
are running Jupyter Notebooks. Installing Jupyter locally has it
running in your own browser, accessing Jupyter notebooks online
also means that Jupyter is running in your browser, but there
might be additional distractions as the notebook is integrated in
a more complex website.</div>
<div class="moz-cite-prefix"><br>

<div class="moz-cite-prefix">As Nam writes, you can also access
Jupyter via VS Code or VS Codium. Posit, the company behind
RStudio, has a new project still in active development called
Positron (<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://positron.posit.co/start.html">https://positron.posit.co/start.html</a>). The software is
based on VS Code but includes many addons needed for data-specific
jobs such as Jupyter.</div>

<div class="moz-cite-prefix">I think one of the problems of Jupyter
notebooks is not only being able to edit code with the cells but
also being notified about the output when running a cell. It would
also be necessary to get infos about whether the kernel is still
running or in idle state.</div>
