[Blindtlk] absolute pitch

Hi,

Chiming in a little late here, but I would say many blind people have
perfect pitch for the same reason that many blind people have brown
hair, or grow to be more than 5 feet tall, or enjoy reading, or cooking,
or sports, or any number of other interests or variables.

I don't believe that blindness has anything to do with it. Although,
admittedly I have never taken the time to do extensive research, I would
just about bet my life that There are just as many sighted people who
have perfect pitch, and I have known a number of blind people who
couldn't carry a tune in a bucket. Do you know what I mean?

Unfortunately, I think there will always be that tendency to want to
analyze everything that a blind person does and chalk it up as "amazing"
or blindness related.
