Hi Diane,

Yes, it's possible for you to do quite a bit with PowerPoint, you just need
to use the keyboard and menus from within the program. If you have any
particular questions about using PowerPoint for your course, feel free to
email me privately and I'll do my best to help. There are many
knowledgeable people on this list who can help you with all of this as well.

My email address is: bhatch200 at comcast.net.

Thanks and best regards,

Beth

Subject: [Blindtlk] Needing Software Info.

Good Morning,

My apologies to those of you who may be getting this twice, but I'm
desperate for information so I'm putting out all the feelers I can.

I am taking a computer applications course this term, and one of the focuses
of the course is on Powerpoint.

I'm not quite sure how to handle these sections of the course. Though I
have never used and have no personal experience with PowerPoint, my
understanding is that it is a very visual program, and involves the
manipulation of graphics and pictures.

Does anyone have any experience with this program or know whether it is even
possible for a totally blind individual using a screen reader to
successfully manage?

Any information I can get would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
