[Blindtlk] For those who employ readers.

I generally use a mix of paid and volunteer readers, and when I pay them
they usually get at least minimum wage and if I ask them to do some driving
that I include something for gas and for wear and tear on their car. I also
use optical character recognition and find it fantastic for books and longer
articles, but I think there is no way for it in the best OCR product to
compete with someone who can help you quickly read a bill, make out a check,
or fill in a form. The people who read for me also help me sort material so
that we decide which will be read by the human voice and which will be read
by machine.
