I don't have one, but I've seen one. He's correct, you can only use the
8-1/2 by 11 inch paper in it. It's not wide enough for the wider paper.
The one feature, which might be helpful, is an erase button.
The margin levers are in the front, instead of the back, and I'm sure there
are a couple other differences, but I can't remember what they are, now.
I'd really like to have a chance to use one for awhile. I can't comment on
how it works, because I didn't have a chance to really use it.
I thought it was going to be a lot lighter than the old Braille Writers.
But, I don't think it is. It seemed about the same weight; which surprised
me, because it has a lot of plastic in it.

Subject: [Blindtlk] the new style brailler
Hello,
I'm posting this message on behalf of my sweetie who's not on this
list. We were talking about the new generation brailler. He thought
he heard that you could only use the 8 and a half by 11 inch paper
and not the wider kind. He also thought there were some other things
the new brailler could not do that the old one did. Does anyone have
the new brailler? I've never seen one myself and only know what I've
read on the net and lists. If you have or use one, do you like it
more than the old style?
Peace,
Cari
