On the NBC Nightly News tonight there was a neat story about Jane Lang, a Morris Plains, NJ Yankees fan who was given quite a surprise last night. Members of the Yankees team showed up at her home unannounced and escorted her to the game via subway. Ms. Lang was being honored at the game as a part of the Yankees Hope Week without her prior knowledge. Ms. Lang had been present at about 250 games in the past where she would take the subway with her guide dog, Clipper to the stadium.
Last night she was given the line-up card to present to the umpire and the Detroit Tigers Manager. She announced "Let's Play Ball", was given a walk of the bases, and was given the game ball.
I tried to attach the story link to this email but was unsuccessful. You can find it by googling her name and nbc news.
Neat story
Michael
