I do it the same way you do. Years ago, I ran the cane through got it back, and then went through. A few things have changed since then. TSA people want it their way or no way. They are not interested in discussing. It used to be that if you had a problem, you could work it out. Now if you have a problem, you are one.

hi,

you probably know more about this, what have you heard about going thru the x-ray walls?
are most people told to put their cane on the belt and grab the security workers wrists and they guide you thru or do people go thru with their cane?

how common is it for someone to say run my cane thru and give it back then i will walk thru?

the few times i have done this, the worker gets ignorant if you try to walk thru with the cane so i collapse it and put it in the bucket to avoid taking the chance of missing the flight.
