Terry,

Peter Donahue is very knowledgeable about what is needed to travel to
England with a guide dog. His email is:
  pdonahue1 at sbcglobal.net

About the long flights and other concerns, I'd recommend joining the NAGDU
list. http://www.nfbnet.org/mailman/listinfo/nagdu_nfbnet.org
There are guide dog users from various countries that you could ask your
questions. I'm remembering a few people talking about traveling overseas
with their guides, but I can't remember details.

Good luck!
Julie
