James,
    Thanks for sending this on to us. It reinforces that even the blind have 
misconceptions about literacy! The subject of this article seems to admit 
that she doesn't know how to write, only give dictation. The last time I 
checked, writing was an element of literacy for sighted people. I guess 
there are different standards for the blind! (frown)
