[Blindtlk] Looking for Specific Calculator

I found this great review of 5 different scienctific calculators. It
can be found at <http://www.tsbvi.edu/math/talk-sci-calc.htm>

>From what I see, talking scientific calculators start at about $250. I
have not found any in the $50 to $100 range. I know there should be
some in that range, but because talking calculators are specifically
for the blind, they are more expensive since less people buy them. I
know that's not fair, especially when someone can buy a basic
calculator for five bucks at the drug store, but our talking
calculators start at minimum $20. It's ridiculous.

Might I suggest speaking to your vocational rehabiliitation counselor
about purchasing the scientific calculator as a necessary item for
school and/or work? I asked for it for when school starts because I'll
be doing algebra, trigonometry, and eventually calculus. They said
sure, we'll get it. So it's in my list of needs for school.

Good luck,
Jewel
