I'm from Louisiana and still live here.  I've been to the training Center in Ruston.  While I cannot speak for every other Center, let me tell you that the Louisiana Center For the Blind is the best choice you'll ever make for truly independent living training.  OF course, there are our other Centers in Colorado and I forget now where the other one is, but, remember, Louisiana started them all.  For more info, go here:
