[Blindtlk] Eye Poking

The only time I rock is if I'm listening to music, and I'm really enjoying
it. I prefer to sit over standing myself. I like I said only poke at my eyes
either before during or after a headache, because some times I get sharp
pains in my eyes, and pressing on my eyes helps eleviate the pain. I have
quite a fiew friends who rock, and it doesn't bother me. But I do know what
The person was talking about about lack of social skills among some of the
kids who attend blind schools. Infact one time a kid named Alek touched my
private area, and I told him to stop, and he kept doing it, and I eventually
went and told the principal what was happening, because he wouldn't stop,
and when I would tell some one in the room with us, they'd tell me to tell
the principal. Also another student that went to the blind school that I
attended would pull your hair if you accidentally got too close to her. She
had other disabilities though. But all the teachers and house parents would
do is get her to release the person's hair, and tell her not to do that. So
I think they need to work on getting the kids in blind schools better social
skills, before they go out in to the real world, because other wise those
kids are going to give the rest of us who have decent social skills a bad
name. I know that having multiple disabilities can't be easy, but every one
needs at least basic social skills. Well, that's my opinion any way.

I was a swayer myself. I would drive the houseparents and teachers
crazy. I am a grown dude and still catch myself doing some swaying
especially when I am jamming on the tunes. I have also developed
another trait over the years. I like to stand for hours on end. I can
stand for hours, say six or more hours and I like to pace around. I
find I keep better posture that way. When I sit, I am a slumper. I
don't like that.
