Hi Cindy,
Apparently there is a new folding cane and a new telescoping cane which were introduced at the convention. I actually wasn't aware of them until I got home. But, my understanding is that they are supposed to be ultra light, yet somewhat more durable. As I understand it the telescoping cane doesn't collapse as easily as the previous folding canes.
I may be wrong, but I think these are the defining features.
