[Blindtlk] Lions World career training

Hello,

I have just graduated from Lions World. The administrators seem to be
receptive to change, although communication is a huge issue. The
Assistive Technology Instructor program is in a bit of trouble at the
moment as all of the instructors who teach the course are leaving, and
jobs are extremely difficult to get in the field. The MCSE program has
seen five instructors in the past year or so, and the Desktop Support
Technician program seems to be doing well and has a pretty high
attendance. The programming course is OK if you like looking things up
on Google, and the Microsoft Office Specialist class is where they
throw everyone into when they don't make it into another program.
Other than that, you've got the IRS classes and College Prep. And I
think they've started or are going to start an Elder Care program.
That's about it. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to
ask. The problems I ran into there was the hand holding, the fact that
they were taking so much money and putting so much time into
individuals who I feel wouldn't be contributing too much to society,
while allowing others to spend nine or ten months in a computer course
without proper job placement support. However if you're looking
strictly at the training and you can disassociate yourself from
everything else that goes on there, you'll be fine.

Thanks.
