Dear RJ,

You also need Freedom Scientifics' "J-Say" that  lets "Dragon" work with 
JAWS.
I hear that it works very well and will let you run all of the functions of 
your computer, such as changing directories, opening multiple programs 
editing of documents, spell check and reading back what you have entered.
Dragon was invented to let people who have no use of their hands, to be able 
to operate their computer and dictate what they want to say to their 
computer, and have the computer type it for them.
It does take some "training" of the computer, by repeting certain words and 
phrases back to the computer, when asked, but the computer learns your 
speech patterns and gets better and better the more you use it.
