[Blindtlk] Facebook's chat system

I just installed Instantbird.  I set up my Facebook chat account, 
but I don't seem to be able to do anything.  I can't add any 
contacts, see if any of my friends are online.  How do you 
actually use this program?

I've never been able to use it on the website, that's the reason

downloaded the instant bird program.  Also it allows me to be on 
fb chat,
MSN, Yahoo, and AIM all at one time, all through the one client.

 try it before downloading extra clients?

 you can use instant bird for your facebook chat.  I do, and it 
works

I don't know if the facebook chat system is accessible with 
screen readers
 since I haven't tried it myself, but it might not be.  And it is 
not cool
 because the mobile version of facebook, http://m.facebook.com, 
does not
 support chat.
