[Blindtlk] The Dog Dilemma

Nikki,
There are several guide dog training programs in the United States and
each have their own policies and practices. This is true about various
aspects, such as ownership and levels of eyesight. For instance, my wife
received her guide dog from The Guide Dog Foundation (GDF) and her eyesight
is 20/60 in the eye in which she has sight and a field of vision of less
than 20 degrees. As the result, she has no depth perception and no sight at
night. If you are attending the national convention, you might want to
attend the NAGDU meetings and speak with some of the training programs.

Fraternally yours,
Marion Gwizdala
