2011 UIC Digital Accessibility Expo
 
The Office of the Chancellor, the Chancellor's Committee on the Status of
Persons with Disabilities, the Great Lakes ADA Center, the Disability
Resource Center and the Digital Accessibility Expo Committee at the
University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) are excited to announce the
 
3rd Annual 2011 UIC Digital Accessibility Expo
on
Monday, April 11, 2011 
8:45 a.m. - 4:15 p.m. 
at the
UIC Forum
725 W. Roosevelt Road, Chicago, Illinois.

This year's scheduled keynote speakers include Daniel Hubbell, Accessibility
Technical Evangelist for Microsoft's Trustworthy Computing division, and
Daniel Goldstein, Outside Counsel for the National Federation of the Blind.
 
The Digital Accessibility Expo focuses on improving the access to digital
materials for all people, including those with disabilities. Information and
instructional materials that are developed with accessibility in mind are
universally designed to improve access for everyone. The Digital
Accessibility Expo will offer a platform on current resources available that
promote accessible information technology and assistive technology. 
 
The exhibit hall will offer demonstrations on assistive technology and
accessible
information technology along with providing training opportunities on
developing and implementing accessible online information in an
organization.
 
The registration fee of $50 includes lunch, all exhibits, and presentations.
A reduced registration fee of $15 is available for students with a valid
student ID.
