    yeah I have a next generation but the carriage seems to stop advancing 
in the center... going back to classic. is there a certain kind of card 
stock you can use or will any thickness do?

I like the classic, but I think the next generation is cute. I like the
classic because that's what I grew up using and have been using for many,
many, many years. The new ones are very light-weight, but still have the
sturdy insides of the classic as far as I can tell. They only hold 8-1/2
inch wide paper. In other words, you can't put the paper in the wide way.
