Hi Nikki,

Sorry for my ignorance. I guess I'm just a little confused. What type of
independence and/or convenience are you wanting to get from a landline
phone? Are you wanting a caller ID?

Diane, nothing to do with a TTY, but that's a great idea though... reasons
are independence and convenience

Nikki,

I don't know that I am the appropriate person to answer your question, but I
am wondering what you might intend to use the device for? For instance, are
you thinking of being able to access TTY calls or something like that, or
what would you do with a Braille display attached to a regular phone? I am
asking because, if what you want is a caller ID, there are several talking
devices that you can get. I hope I am not appearing too ignorant here, but
other than the caller ID and the possible TTY, I'm not sure what you would
do with a display on a landline.

Thanks,

Hi,
I don't want to be negative, but I doubt that such device exists,
at least here in America. Let us pray though, that such device
could exist in the future with screen reader built-in option on
all home phones, and with Braille support. I wonder if countries
such as UK or new zealand have such devices?

have talking option?

your house. Does such a device exist?
