Hi Steve,

As far as the Braille display goes, I am in whole hearted agreement. Though I am an avid Braille user, trying to access such a device in an efficient manner from another part of the house or from across the room is not really practical.

With regard to the talking caller IDs though, they are a Godsend. Much better than randomly answering a phone to take one's chances and be interrupted by the occasional debt collector and the overwhelming barrage of telemarketers.

Caller I.D.'s are nice, but what is so difficult about just answering the phone the old fashioned way without knowing who it is or having to know who it is? Back to the basics and getting by with the basics is what has been recently mentioned previously...will it take longer, nope. However, if you want to read a Braille display when the phone rings across from the room, very inefficient from my perspective. If you want to develop and market such a product, more power to you.

Steve

I purchased my caller ID at the national convention four years ago.
I don't know of any with a Braille display.
