I don't know what you mean, here, by stepping back and laughing at
ourselves. If we're writing for business or professional purposes and
mangle spelling and sentence structure, it's no laughing matter. Even
though standards for writing have been drastically lowered, these days, it
doesn't mean that we need to lower our own standards and settle for poor
sentence structure, bad grammar and poor spelling.

We need to step back and laugh at ourselves, and also help one another.
We had a long day here in NY. The NFB of NY, and some members of the NJ
Affiliate went on a cruse ship tour of the Norwegian Gem today.
We had an awesome time, the staff was great, we all were educated about a
lot of things, they learned from us as well, and they implemented braille
menus on the ship and will look to add to the rest of the fleet.
HArd work pays off, I have been working hand in hand with the cruise line,
and they are working hard with us. We had a total of 18 people, 5 were
sighted, one guide dog mine, the were a few that cancelled the last minute
that had guide dogs, but there was suppose to be 4 in total.
I will write more about it for the braille monitor. But it was a busy day
for us the blind and for us working with a company who is trying to make
things better.
