[Blindtlk] JAWS 13 is out TODAY--lucky 13

Hi Everyone:

I've been thinking a lot about this.

My SMA ended with Jaws 12 so if I want Jaws 13 I have to pay the
stupid SMA again for the next three versions.

I was able to play with a mac some this summer and while I liked many
things about it there were also things I liked better about Windows. I
understand you can run Windows on a Mac but needing to purchase a new
laptop after I returned home from my friend's I decided to go with a
windows 7 Tasheba Satellite that I found on Amazon for $500.

Now, Jaws 13 is out. Is there anything I as an individual can do to
speak up about all of this or do I just have to pay the SMA and go on?

So, it is true then that if you don't keep up with the latest
versions/pay your SMAS that you get charged for every upgrade you
missed when you do decide you want to upgrade? That is terrible!

How is System Access? Has anyone tried it? I love Jaws and would like
to stay with it and I do have the money for the SMA but I wish there
was more I could do as a windows user to speak up rather than just
following the trend and paying the SMA every time I'm due for one.

I do agree it's the VR system that's keeping these prices so high.
