I thought it was on my end because I get the same thing.

Hello Mike and everyone,

Something I can't stand with Windows 7 is the bogus messages you tend to get when programs are supposedly "Not Responding." For example when downloading podcasts if I want to check to see if the podcatcher is still downloading a particular podcast I'll get a message saying "Windows is Not Responding" or "Accessible Podcatcher is not responding" when in truth all is fine. What it should say when a podcast is being downloaded is "Downloading Podcast please wait." That way you know not to worry, your computer is not locked up, and that your podcast is downloading like it should. This is just one example of Windows 7 not giving accurate messages when application processes are taking place. I sure hope Microsoft fixed this in Windows 8. It would also be nice if you could create your own dictionary of messages in Windows or JAWS to be given for procedures and tasks performed by particular applications to further eliminate this problem. All the best.

Perhaps the application you're using has stopped responding for some reason.
I find this happens periodically in windows 7.

In the middle of a task, command, or navigating the net, JAWS just stops
talking, sometimes with a stutter or short muffle. IDK what it’s doing or
why, but there are times when I end up turning offf or restarting. Sometimes
I can get JAWS back on.

Any thoughts as to why this is happening?
