Apple systems are no panacea, either. You're stuck with Apple's timetable
for fixing screen-reader bugs.

Thanks for sending the links.  I understand about it being a free copy, that
you might as well take advantage of it; a good idea usually with any new
software, though, is to let the developers get out the initial unforseen
bugs first; then you could download your free copy and any free
updates/service packs.  I must say, I'm not at all impressed with it, but
realize I will have to make the jump as older computer systems wear out.  I
think, then, I'll jump over to Apple systems, as a screen reader is already
built in to the operating system.
