Stan the piano man; played music in Denver area 30+ years. Survived by wife Sandra, son Keith, father Francis, mother Ellen, brother Bart & sister Camie. Services Aug. 4 at 11 am, Bear Creek EPC, 3101 S. Kipling St., Lakewood, phone 303-986-5102.
He was so much more than this. He was a loving father, husband, son, brother, etc. His gift of music blessed so many people over the years. A child prodigy, who began playing piano at 3, Stan started his piano training at 5. He had the option of turning pro at 16 or playing golf professionally. He chose wine, women and song. As an older man he said maybe he should have chosen golf for the big paydays. His last performances were a birthday party for a friend held at the Denver Botanical Gardens and Sunday the 22nd a worship service at Bear Creek Evangelical Church. Stan was a part of Bear Creek for nearly 15 years. He started as a guest musicin. He was janitor, accompaniest, soloist, member of the praise team and head of the sound team over the years. He performed in so many different venues. He played keyboards in the Denver Metro area for over 30 years. The Salvation Army, Elks, Eagles and Lions clubs, hotels, bars and private parties requested him. He
 played with countless bands both as guest musician and band member. He was eagerly looked forward to in nursing homes. Many of the residents adopted his as their "son". He was a great man, both in skill and personality. On November 15, 2005 he was given 6 months to live. Stan hung in there for nearly 6 and a half years!!! Stan sent encouraging cards to so many friends in those last years. He tried to make note of every occasion. His pride and joy was his son Keith. His close friends think he worked so hard to live so Keith could be in a position to live well. Stan "The Piano Man" was and is an inspiration to so many. He will be severely miss. Now he is 'Rockin' heaven!! PEACE
