Did you know that you can also convert your CDs and rip them into mp3 format
directly with Windows Media Player? Well yes you can. Here is how.

1. launch windows media player.
2. press alt+T to get into the tools menu, and then press O for the options
dialog box.
3. press Control+Tab until you get to the "rip Music" page of the dialog
box.
4. in this tab, tab until you hear "format: combo box." or press alt+F to
jump straight to that combo box.
5. in this combo box, you have the many options that you can choose to rip
your CD into. Press the letter M to get to mp3.
5. Tab till you get to the OK button and press space bar or enter.

When you are ready to rip a CD, you can insert the CD and click rip.

Hope this helps you and so that you don't have to invest money in a separate
piece of software that can do the same thing that the Windows media player
can, since it is built into Windows already. However, depending on the
version of Windows media player that you are using, my steps above may vary
from what your media player does offer. They may, though, be pretty much the
same, and there might be a slight difference. I am using the latest version
of the player under windows XP, which is 11.0

Cheers,
Humberto

CDex is a CD wripper that converts the tracks to mp3 format to your
computer. Windows Media player also does this however, it converts the
tracks to WMA format instead.
