The name/s on the title are the person/s who own the vehicle. the
insurance is under the name of the individual who will be driving the
car. although I'm not sure how insurance works exactly if the person is
under 18 and there is no adult on the policy.
BTW my issue wasn't regarding the title. My name does appear on the
title along with my husband, although I could have been the sole owner
with no problem. My issue had something to do with the bill of sale as
far as I understand it. I'm still working to get it figured out. There
is a ton of paperwork required to purchase a vehicle. I don't remember
it being this complicated last time, but that was quite a while ago.
