One correction, the WCBVI also assisted in making this happen in
transporting individuals from Madison to Milwaukee.  It is important to note

Yesterday, teachers from the Milwaukee Public Schools along with members of
the NFB of Wisconsin made this event happen. Before and after the event,
members and students handed out white cane information, and talked to the
public about blindness and visual impairment. We showed up on the front page
of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel this morning. As a participant, it was
great fun, and helped to demonstrate the independence of blind people, and
that blind and visually impaired students have the same needs, wants and
abilities as their sighted friends!
