[Blindtlk] file question

When you open the file, it will ask you if you wish to run the file (the executable you saved). The whole purpose is to make sure you really want to run the file.

It's in my downloads folder.

I wasn't sure because I was trying to download "dropbox" and a dialog box 
opened and asked if I wanted to save it. I did. It saved to my downloads 
folder as an exe file. I pressed enter on it, but then it opened another 
dialog box asking me if I want to run the file. I just don't understand. 
Feeling pretty dumb at the moment.

Exe is short for executable. It is a class of files called programs, which 
are written to do something when clicked on. Some are malicious. Never 
opinion an .exe file you receive as an e-mail attachment, unless you know 
what the file will do and who sent it to you.
