David:

I'm one of those doubting Thomases who thinks indoor mapping iPhone apps
won't be nearly as useful as many people think.

We shall see.

Dear All,

I was a cane driver for some 25 years, but now use a guide dog as my main
travel tool, However.I have had airport personnel grab hold of my cane
before, in an attempt to lead me or prevent me from making contact with
someone or something.
I tell them that it is the same as putting their hand over my "eyes" and to
please stop it and if there is something I need to be aware of, just to say
something, but do not grab my cane unless they want to wear it as a nose
stopper.
I try to educate people first and be polite, but if they do not learn fast,
I have a way of speeding up their education.
I have rights and I have dignity and I will not let anyone take them away
from me without a fight or a reeducation.
Most airline people are afraid or very respectful of my guide dog as they
still buy into the idea that he is also trained as a attack dog if some one
gives me a hard time and I am not working that hard to change their minds if
they are doing a bad job of helping me.
I can hardly wait until the indoor navigation app for my I-Phone is ready.
I am sure that airports will be one of the places that they make accessible.

David Evans, NFBF and GD Jack.
