Personally I've always found it difficult to read nonverbal communication I am partially sighted but I still miss a lot of nonverbal cues and that is one reason why I find it difficult to interact in groups. Interestingly, I've also been told that I'm "difficult to read". I suspect much of that is due to my failure to subconsciously learn these cues and feed them back to people with whom I communicate. I wonder if any either visually impaired folks have been told that.
I hope you don't frequently encounter situations where you are concerned that someone is lying to you. That would be emotionally and psychologically draining.
