[Blindtlk] dedicated talking thermostats verses Iphone controled thermostats

Okay,

I am considering replacing my Kelvin talking thermostat with another model.  My choices are, as I see it, to go with the newer very expencive dedicated talking thermostats which would run me about $399.99 or so or to go with a thermostat which can be controled via an Iphone.  I seem to remember hearing from at least one blind person that they had a thermostat which could be controled via an Iphone app and that the controler app was either completely or very accessible.  Any thoughts?
