Cheryl, you are soooo right!

Steve, that is a good idea but I haven't sold it to the congregation yet.
I"ve been trying for years. fi am thinking that after they purge the
membership rolls in 2014 and realize how few members they have the tune
will change. You are so right that congregations are hurting. Sunday we
were to have a meeting to update the consitution and we didn't h av
enough folks attending to have a quorum. The weather didn't help, but I
think most of the problem is we don't have enough members that care. I
pray for our new minister for she has been there three years and is
fighting for the same things I am. I have to say when we had an
opportunity to have a blind member they were willing to fork over the cash
to purchase a braille hymnal. I was pretty surprised since I don't see any
purchased large print ones and everyone knows I'd use it. Theydo mnake
their own large print bulletins and they're popular. We have a mixed bag
of attitudes on our church, but not getting a ride somewhere now that is a
problem I"ve never had. What a stuck up church. I'd look into other
congregations with your particular doctrine and see what you get. Call each
church office and talk to the priest/pastor or at least the secretary.
Lots of churches have a website now so you can look them up and see what
they offer. I made a big effort to make certain ours was speech software
accessible.
