Dear Federationists:

I am totally blind, with septo optic dysplasia. I wonder if anyone else on the list has this syndrome and takes injection
medication? Is any blind person using a new pen for Nutropin AQ? I just got one sent to me today without any warning or explanation.
I called the nurse and was being given instructions like dial the dose from the black button, but do not touch the dosing button as
you inject, because it will be spinning? The pen is called something like new spin? There is some kind of a slide that must be slid
to prime the pen and it also must be slid as you inject. I could use a good nonvisual explanation of this process so that I can
continue to do my injections independently. I live with my husband who is also totally blind. Can anyone help?? I will figure this
out, but I would rather not waste expensive meds, or accidentally give myself injections without meds in them if I do not have to.

Sincerely,
Terri Wilcox
Secretary, National Federation of the Blind of Michigan
